Find inverse cosecant angle in degrees and radians

Input Value

Arccsc Formula

arccsc(x) = arcsin(1 / x)

Arccsc is the inverse of cosecant. Since cosecant is the reciprocal of sine, arccsc can be computed by applying arcsin to 1 divided by the input.

Input must be <= -1 or >= 1. Values between -1 and 1 are outside the real arccsc domain.

How Arccsc Works

If csc θ equals x, then sin θ equals 1/x. The calculator converts that reciprocal relationship into an angle.

Inverse Cosecant

Arccsc reverses csc.

Domain

x ≤ -1 or x ≥ 1.

Sine Link

arccsc(x)=arcsin(1/x).

Angle Units

Result is shown in degrees and radians.

💡 Example: arccsc(2)=arcsin(0.5)=30°=0.523599 rad.
